Overall Job Purpose             :

Responsible for implementing, configuring and supporting SAP Success Factors modules to meet the human capital management (HCM) needs of the organisation. The role ensures that HR processes are efficiently and effectively translated into the system following best practice configurations, functional designs and collaborations with the stakeholders.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

SAP HCM:

  • Configure and support core SAP HCM modules such as Personnel Administration (PA), Organisational Management (OM), Time Management (TM), and Payroll.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP HCM solutions.
  • Support HR operations with system enhancements, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and data privacy regulations.

 

SAP SuccessFactors:

  • Implement and support SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Performance & Goals, Learning Management, and Recruiting.
  • Integrate SuccessFactors with SAP HCM and other third-party systems.
  • Conduct system testing, data migration, and user training.
  • Stay updated on SuccessFactors quarterly releases and apply relevant updates.

 

Cross-Functional Duties:

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to optimise end-to-end HR processes.
  • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and interfaces.
  • Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and user guides.
  • Analyse and understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Configure and customise SAP modules to support business processes.
  • Act as the liaison between business users and the technical team to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities.
  • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and work with developers to implement solutions.
  • Perform system testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide end-user support and training for SAP functionalities.
  • Participate in SAP implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and ongoing system improvements.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and training materials.
  • Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and compliance standards.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Grade 12; and
  • A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Computer Science / Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • 8 years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant in (SAP HCM, Success Factors, ESS/MSS).
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • SAP certification in the relevant module.
  • Strong understanding of relevant business processes and how they are implemented in SAP.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP configuration, testing, and user support.
  • Ability to write clear functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Involvement in at least one full SAP implementation lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies
  • SAP certification in HCM and/or SuccessFactors is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
