Overall Job Purpose              :  

Responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP modules related to Finance (FICO), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Asset Management (AM) to ensure organisation’s business processes are effectively automated, integrated and optimised.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

SAP FICO 

  • Configure and support SAP FI modules (GL, AP, AR, Bank Accounting, etc.).
  • Configure and support SAP CO modules (Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, etc.).
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

 

Asset Accounting (AA)

  • Implement and maintain SAP Asset Accounting processes.
  • Manage asset master data, depreciation areas, and asset lifecycle (acquisition to retirement).
  • Support integration with FI and CO modules for accurate financial reporting.

 

Supply Chain Management (SCM)

  • Configure and support SAP SCM modules.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Ensure accurate integration between SCM and FICO modules for inventory valuation and cost accounting.

 

Cross-Functional

  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide end-user training and documentation.
  • Support SAP upgrades, patches, and system migrations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end business processes
  • Ability to lead work streams and mentor junior consultants.
  • Ability to lead engagements with clients and assist in fostering a clear SAP S/4HANA roadmap.
  • Technology consulting expertise, and ability to drive workshops and conduct training sessions.
  • Experience and knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Grade 12; and
  • Bachelors in Finance, Btech Financial Information Systems.
  • SAP FICO, SCM and certification.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • 8 years’ experience of SAP Financials implementation and/or solution design experience A thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle is required.
  • SAP Certification required, preferably SAP S/4HANA Financials (SAP Financials business processes that will include General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Taxation, Product Costing, Banking, Consolidations and/or Financial Planning).
  • Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end business processes.
  • Knowledge of integration points between FICO, AA, and SCM modules.
  • Experience in Agile delivery in SAP projects
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
