Overall Job Purpose :
Responsible for collecting, processing and analysing data to help an organisation make an informed decision. Interpreting large datasets, identifying trends and patterns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extract and manipulate data from SAP systems using tools such as SAP HANA Studio, SAP BW, or SAP Fiori.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that support business decisions.
- Collaborate with business units to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across SAP modules.
- Perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend solutions.
- Support data migration, integration, and transformation projects.
- Document data models, processes, and reporting standards.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple platforms.
- Support data integration projects between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Document data models, data flows, and reporting standards.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for business initiatives and audits.
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Monitor data quality and integrity and assist in the development of data governance practices.
- Create and maintain documentation for data definitions, sources, and methodologies.
- Support predictive analytics and modelling efforts when needed.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12; and
- A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Computer Science / Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Data Analysis certification e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, with exposure to both SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, , QlikView).
- Proficiency in SAP tools such as SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Fiori.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
- Knowledge of Python, R, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing.
- Knowledge of machine learning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
