Overall Job Purpose :
To provide strategic leadership in managing the organisation’s financial assets, ensuring liquidity, optimising cash flow, and mitigating financial risks. This role oversees treasury operations, banking relationships, investment strategies, and compliance while leading a team of senior treasury professionals. This position plays a critical role in maintaining financial stability, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational continuity, and optimising organisation’s investments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring accurate cash flow projections and maintaining adequate liquidity.
- Monitoring and analysing cash inflows/outflows.
- Forecasting short-term and long-term liquidity needs.
- Ensuring funds availability for operations.
- Overseeing financial transactions and maintaining banking relationship.
- Negotiating banking terms and optimizing accounts.
- Managing fund transfers, payments, and reconciliations.
- Overseeing treasury functions to minimize costs.
- Developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with banking policies and financial laws.
- Monitoring financial security measures.
- Developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Providing actionable insights for decision-making and performance tracking.
- Compiling liquidity reports and financial dashboards.
- Analysing cash flow trends.
- Presenting findings to senior management.
- Enhanced efficiency and reduced financial processing costs.
- Identifying and implementing automation in treasury operations.
- Streamlining banking and payment procedures.
- Reducing transactional costs.
- Maximising return on capital and financial resources.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12; and
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be an added advantage.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5–10 years experience in cash flow management, treasury operations, or corporate banking.
- Proven track record in liquidity management, financial forecasting, and banking negotiations.
- Experience working with financial institutions, corporate treasury teams, and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity Management.
- Understanding of Banking & Treasury Operations.
- Managing corporate banking transactions, including payments, fund transfers, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of foreign exchange transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficiency.
- Understanding of Risk Management & Compliance.
- Conducting cash flow trend analysis for liquidity assessment and financial stability.
- Experience in Investment & Capital Optimization of cash reserves.
- Understanding of Digital Financial Tools & Software.
- Application of ERP financial modules for comprehensive cash flow monitoring.
