Overall Job Purpose :
Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of business applications. The role ensures that applications are secure, reliable and operate at an optimal performance to support business processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting up and configuring new applications and software, including both internal and third-party systems.
- Continuously monitoring application performance, identifying potential issues, and ensuring system stability.
- Maintenance and support of websites, Intranet and mobile applications.
- Responding to user requests, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions to keep applications running effectively.
- Optimizing application performance through adjustments to settings, configurations, and potentially recommending hardware upgrades.
- Providing guidance and training to users on how to effectively utilize applications.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for applications, including user guides and technical documentation.
- Working with other IT teams, vendors, and users to ensure proper application integration and problem resolution.
- Ensuring applications are secure and compliant with organizational policies.
- Contributing to the planning and implementation of application upgrades and migrations.
- Keeping up with the latest versions of applications and technologies related to application administration.
- User account management.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12; and
- National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Computer Science / Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in application management and support.
- Strong technical skills in areas like operating systems, networking, and server management.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of specific applications and platforms relevant to the organization.
- ITIL experience.
