Job Title                                 : Administrator: Learning & Development

Reporting Line                      : Manager Human Resources

 

Overall Job Purpose             :To provide a professional, proactive and effective learning and development (L&D) support services to the CGS.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Management of Training for CGS 

  • Implementation of training plan for the CGS in line with organisation needs.
  • Participate in implementation of tools in respect of training needs analysis for the CGS.
  • Assist in reviewing training needs and implement training programmes through accredited training providers.
  • Implement tools/templates in respect of training needs analysis for the CGS.

 

Management of Bursary Programme 

  • Report on progress of the programme and make inputs to Human Resources (HR) Management report for Board reporting.
  • Provide administrative assistance in the CGS bursary programme.
  • Compile motivations of staff bursars and external bursars for approval.
  • Liaise and ensure payment processing with institution of higher learning.

 

Skills Development Compliance 

  • Participate in annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) process for the CGS.
  • Assist in submission of WSP/Annual Training Plan to the relevant SETA.
  • Liaise with relevant SETA on all matters pertaining to Skills Development. 

 

Mentoring and Coaching

  • Assist in implementing measures for mentoring staff and bursary holders with line managers. 

 

Policy Development 

  • Participate in the development and reviewing of policies and procedures.
  • Assist to drive awareness campaigns of policies within the CGS.

 

Project Management 

  • Participate in initiatives, projects and activities in which the HR team are engaged in/with.
  • Assist in the execution of all project plan related to identify HR interventions.

 

Quality Management 

  • Manage data and keep up to date records relating to Learning and Development.
  • HR data analytics.

 

People Management 

  • Compile and submit own Personal Development Plan.
  • Participate in continuous professional development initiatives/interventions to keep abreast with new technologies and procedures.
  • Support and participate in the training and development requirements of employees.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Grade 12; and
  • National Diploma (NQF6) in Human Resources Management/Development or equivalent
  • Degree in Human Resource Management/Development (NQF7) will be an added advantage
  • Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) certification will be an added advantage
  • Professional registration with SABPP will be an added advantage
  • Valid driver’s licence

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ administrative experience or similar role.
  • Experience in mining/research environment.
  • Experience and understanding of general administration and office support practices.
  • Experience in project management and budgeting.
  • Fully computer literate with an advanced level of Ms Office.
  • Confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management process.
  • Understanding of LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA or relevant legislation.
